Routing Number On Check

Routing numbers are used by financial institutions as a way to  to electronically identify the transference of funds between accounts. The routing number(s) of a bank will always be located in the bottom-left corner of a check, to the left of the account number, as seen in the image below.

How to Wire Funds

TrustCo Bank provides customers with in-person, telephone, and online account/wire transfer services. Domestic transfers between accounts can be completed using this automated telephone number(1-800-670-4110). Customers can also speak directly with a branch manager. Funds from wire transfers will be available on the business day following the date of initial deposit, and all wire transfers are subject to associated service and processing fees. More detailed information, and answers to common banking questions can be viewed on the bank’s general FAQ webpage. Domestic wire transfers require the following information:

  • Full name of sender
  • Bank account number of sender
  • Recipient’s full name and instructions
  • The amount intended to transfer
  • Signature of sender
