This calculator provides a straightforward way for users to calculate the total cost of a loan, based on the following values:

  • Amount of loan
  • APR (annual percentage rate)
  • Term length (months)

Once the above fields have been filled out, users can click the ‘Calculate’ button to view the result.

Determines an individual’s approximate debt level (percentage) in terms of monthly gross income. The following fields must be filled out:

  • Take-home pay (monthly, include partner’s if applicable)
  • Gross income (monthly, include partner’s if applicable)
  • Monthly auto loan payment
  • Monthly educational loan payment(s)
  • Minimum monthly credit card payment

  • Monthly personal loan payment
  • Monthly mortgage payment
  • Monthly property tax
  • Homeowner’s insurance
  • Private mortgage insurance
  • Home equity loan payment (monthly)

Users should click the ‘Next’ button to calculate their results. Alternatively, the ‘Analysis’ button located at the top of the calculator may also be clicked to display the results.

This calculator provides an accurate estimation of what it will take to reduce an individual’s accrued debt (from more than one loan). The following information is required:

  • Number of loans (one through four)
  • Tax rate (marginal)
  • Loan balance (for each loan)
  • Annual percentage rate (for each loan)
  • Tax deductible (check if yes, leave empty if no – for each loan)
  • Current monthly payment (for each loan)
