Harris Bank Online Banking » Harris Bank Routing Number – How to Wire
Harris Bank offers a host of services to personal and business account holders. These include ACH and wire transfer services. To conduct a wire transfer, account holders must visit a branch location since external transfers to other banking institutions are not supported by the BMO Harris Online Banking system. For questions regarding wire transfers, account holders can get in touch with customer service at 1-888-340-2265.
Routing Number on Check
Also referred to as an RTN, an ABA routing number or a routing transit number, the routing number on a check is found at the bottom left-hand corner of a check. The nine digit number is based on the US bank location where the account was opened. An illustration of a Harris Bank check is shown below.
How to Wire Funds
Harris Bank account holders can only initiate a wire transfer to another financial institution by visiting a branch location or adding a biller within the BMO Harris Bill pay. The following information will be needed to initiate the transfer:
- Recipient’s Name
- Recipient’s Address
- Name of receiving bank
- Receiving bank’s address
- Account Number
- Routing Number
This should be accompanied by any other information required by the receiving or sending bank. For international transfers, the swift code will be needed.
